USS Sports Medicine™ AnchorSew™ 3 mm is a resorbable repair device used in conjunction with the USS Sports Medicine™ ArthroSew™ suturing device to attach soft tissue to bone using sutures. The resorbable repair device is implanted into a prepared hole in the bone, and is used to attach soft tissue. The soft tissue anchors are made of a resorbable copolymer, derived from glycolide and lactide colored with D&C violet #2. The glycolide/lactide copolymer degrades and resorbs in vivo by hydrolysis to lactic and glycolic acids which are then metabolized by the body
