Biomet Sports Medicine is proud to be one of the first companies to provide implants manufactured from PEEK-Optima® Polymer. This significant polymer advancement has provided benefits from both metal and resorbable technologies. PEEK-Optima® Polymer (polyetheretherketone) exhibits a optimal combination of strength, stiffness, while being radiolucent and revisable, make it ideally suited for suture anchors. PEEK is a non-resorbable, thermoplastic material that demonstrates excellent biocompatibility characteristics.

The ALLthread™ family of anchors is not like your traditional anchor where the eyelet is located at the top the anchor. The ALLthread™ Anchor’s unique design protects the suture up through the tip of the anchors, allowing for continuous threads through the entire anchor to hold cortical bone maximizing resistance to pull out and displacement. This design allows the anchors to be inserted flush with the cortical bone surface providing superior fixation strength and stability reducing anchor pull-back. The internal driver design allows for high insertion torque.

The Bio Mini-Revo suture anchor is a 3.1mm diameter screw-in implant manufactured from ConMed Linvatec’s patented Self-Reinforced 96L/4D Poly Lactic Acid. The implant is pre-loaded on a disposable driver and is pre-threaded with #2 Hi-Fi™ high strength suture. The combination of high pull-out strength and ideal bioabsorbable characteristics in a small pre-loaded implant will make it the implant of choice for all shoulder instability procedures. The unique low profile instrument set that includes drill guides, drill bit, bone punch and a self-drilling tap enables precise placement of the pilot

The FASTIN RC Threaded Anchor combined with the ORTHOCORD™ Suture offers an advantage to surgeons who perform both arthroscopic and open rotator cuff procedures. The hex design and dual eyelet of FASTIN RC allow the sutures to slide independently of each other and reduce risk of suture binding, while facilitating suture management within soft tissue repair. The FASTIN RC threads have a deeper pitch and higher pull-out than many of the other competitive threaded anchors on the market. The deep threads allow for better purchase in bone and reduce the risk of anchor pull out in soft bone
